If you are homeowner and would like to know your risk for flooding you can go to http://www.floodsmart.gov/floodsmart/. The website is a official site of the National Flood Insurance Program. Type in your address and you get a general risk assessment for your property. This information is a general tool and should not be the only information/tool used to make a decision on purchasing flood insurance.
